Jim Butcher is the kind of author who would pull the wings off of a Pixie Fairy and nail them to a wall (with iron nails).

I'm just not sure if he would make us watch while it happened or if Harry would simply come into the room and see the wings nailed to the wall, no Fairy to be seen (similar to another Apocalypse-related story of some fame...).

And he would do it because - "It's good drama!" while laughing with a maniacally evil laugh....

Yes that sounds very much like Butcher's style but considering how painful iron is to the fae and how loved characters like Toot Toot and Lacuna are, it would be for tragic tear-jerker effect. Maniacal laugh inducing pixie torture would be pinning one to a wall with molten pizza cheese
