I suppose military is different.
Glad to see you, DC! I invite you to our thread about swearing, in this same section of the forum. You may have some fun.

@Dina: We also have kiwis, and I also have no idea where they come from. Tangerine isn't common in the markets here, but I planted a tree a couple of years ago that just gave it's first crop.
And guava is very common and cheap here during the season, and of varying quality, the top being excellent and the bottom being only good for juice.
@Otlan: Um, that's what I call my left hand, actually.
I'll read and post in the swearing topic as soon as my friends (and more importantly, my girlfriend) leave.

@Fcrate: As I said, there are guava in the North of the country, but it is very rare in Buenos Aires. Congrats for your baby tangerine tree  :)

@Otlan, not idea about the God Hand, except that is how we called the goal that Maradona did against England in the 1986 World Cup (I am talking about football, what is called "soccer" by the US people). I can talk a lot about that goal, so don't encourage me  :D

Oops, my mistake Dina, I mixed up the words, my tree is "Bitter orange" which I already have the first crop ready to make some jam, just as soon as I find the time/motivation to peel them all.
My neighbour has an orange/tangerine farm as I mentioned before, so I don't lack for either.

Ah, in some areas here (near my city or even in other provinces) sometimes you can see bitter orange trees on the streets. They look so beautiful.

My bad, it's also called a Buddha's Hand Fruit, this thing.

Given the name, I would have to guess it comes from Indiia.

Ok, I've seen that on the internet but never on real life- I agree India is a good educated guess.

For some reason, today I wanted to share a song with you weirdlets. It says good things about my country's women, so forgive me in advance for the lack of humility, but the music is nice and the lyrics are easy to translate. link

(English)
She is the prettiest flower
wandering by the stars
she shines more than the sun.

She dances
And she is drawn against the moon
when she is lost on the mist
she seems to float.

She is from the land
of divine women
She is Argentinian
There is no one like her

If she would kiss you
with her mouth in fire
a mad desire
would make you forget
all the sadness and cruelness of the world
in a single instant
of happiness.

She is the prettiest flower
wandering by the stars
she shines more than the sun.

(Spanish)
Ella,
Es la flor mas bella
Vagando por las estrellas
Brilla mas que el sol

Baila,
Y se dibuja en la luna
Cuando se pierde en la bruma
Parece flotar

Ella es de la tierra
De mujeres divinas
Ella es argentina
Como ella no hay

Si llegara a besarte
Con su boca de fuego
Un loco deseo
Te harķa olvidar
Todas las tristezas
Y crueldades del mundo
En un solo segundo
De felicidad

Ella,
Es la flor mas bella
Vagando por las estrellas
Brilla mas que el sol

Spontaneously by seeing it, I would have called it Cthulhu fruit. 8)
What's it taste like? More sweet or bitter?

Another thing: I had a weird dream yesterday night. I dreamt that Peace Talks was out. I started to read it and was so disappointed, because it was only 200 pages long, completely boring and nothing important happened.

Then I woke up on the couch. I was aching everywhere, because I spent the whole night there. Left me grumpy and confused the whole day. How silly of me. LOL

@Regen and Crate: That's what I that to, and that's what I called it XD . The damn thing looked like a pettrified Jellyfish XD .

I have no idea what it taste like, I never even knew it exsisted until a Coustomer bought one at my store, and that was the first time I'd ever seen one XD . I thought about trying it, but I'd rather not have my Mind and Soul ripped appart by an Old One XD .

@Dina: That is a very beautiful Song Di-Di n_n <3 ....Makes me wish I had an Argentine Lady n_n <3 .

Sorry about the pain by sleeping in the couch, Regen. About PT I am pretty sure it won't have 200 pages only, and I have faith it won't be disappointing. So try to relax, send that nightmare to oblivion and hopefully you will have better dreams tonight.

@Otlan, well, to be honest, not all Argentinian women are that beautiful, but I promise you, if you ever come here you will see many pretty ladies, we have a nice mix so you have different physical types and a good percentage are beautiful.

Beauty is a secoundary concern Dina XD . I'd be more intrested in a woman who was willing to talk to me and woudn't smack or scorn me for talking to her XD .
