What flying style?
« on: October 01, 2017, 02:14:09 AM »
My wife and I were debating what flying style they use when flying with wind furies. Is it superman style?  Or is it like they're riding a horse (they are often described as having the appearance of a horse, more or less) or a broomstick or something?

How about when carrying a coach?

When Alera was teaching Tavi, she was saying that part of his attention had to be on furies right in front of him so that his face wouldn't get burned.  And the way it was described how Amara flew, I got the impression it was Superman style.

Now, there are the windcoach carriers with harnesses.  I think they are more in a Seated position next to the coach, but I really don't know if it's that, or the coach is swinging below them.
At times I wish I had a clone, but then I realize, I could never live with that a-hole.

I got the impression of horizontal, but no superman arms.

I sometimes pictured them flying like the airbenders in the Avatar cartoon sometimes. Seated with the fury blowing below them, but when doing high speed flying I pictured them superman, but without the outstretched arms.

Like this at speed, with arms acting as stabilizers.

Standard hovering pose, or slow forward movement.

Arms like wings depending on speed and movement?

More like wing flaps to help direct airflow.
