Actually I don't think it is in progress now because he is writing the next DF book.

I seriously doubt it will be progress until after Peace Talks is done. I seem to recall seeing a reference to the names of all three of the first books, but I could very easily be wrong. :-)
The question isn't "Can I do this . . . "
The question you should ask is "Should I do this . . . "
