Yeah, but Germans and Hungarians don't pull people's theories out of their sockets when they're challenged. Ducks are known to do that.
Considering the Fomor popping up all over the place. I would like to see more Lovecraftian baddies (Cthulhu mythos monsters).
but mab can make her self as big or as little as she wants
ill have to dig about it, but someone asked Jim once about the Mab/shakespeare connection and he laughed it off, noting that Mab is much older then shakespeare.furthermore, Mab says she was mortal once in CD
She can nowadays. Who knows about back when she was less powerfull...Er I can't tell if you're replying to me or not...
I was. just pointing out that Mab(shakespeare) != Mab (butcher). Mab (butcher) much more related to Mab (original)Serack, do you have the woj where someone asks Jim about the bill the bard Mab?
EDIT: In Cold Days (click to show/hide)Mab says she was mortal once. This can be explained by my theory that the Little Folk are changelings who Chose when they were children (Justification:
I think you missed my EDIT of the post:The wikipedia entry on Mab says she was first mentioned by Shakespeare. Do you know where she was mentioned before that?
the name is a more modern spelling of maeb, which is also the name for morgawseshes from 1st century bc celtic myhtology, the goddess of war and magic; in some variants shes a part of the morrigan
They all come from old Irish Medb, the queen of Connaught.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MedbI always thought it funny that Mab's daughter Maeve just had a more modern version of her own name.
they are two sepperate entities with simillar names in the mythology; one is a goddess, the other legendary queen
It looks like the name Maeb was also one of spellings of the queen of Connaught's name. The queen is far more often mentioned. There are theories that Medb was the goddess ritually married with the king.
