I was thinking of Yutte Stensgaard as Carmilla in Lust for a Vampire (1971).  I guess I have learned more of my mythology from Hammer movies and the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show than school.

yea thats a famous case of movie != book. lol
Yeah, but Germans and Hungarians don't pull people's theories out of their sockets when they're challenged.  Ducks are known to do that.

The stage is getting pretty crowded/  If Jim brings in another diety, I hope it is one who has been incognito but an established character.  I like the Heimdall/Mac theory, I got the impression Mac was someone of importance who left the fight for a quiet place on the sidelines.

Thinking about Carmilla again.  If; and I know its a big if, Jim wanted to bring lesbian vampires into the story, there is no reason he would have to limit himself to characters from literature.  I think Fran and Miriam from Vampyres AKA Daughters of Dracula (1974) would be great choices.

(If you rent this don't watch it with your kids, it borders on soft core porn.  However, it is a real horror film with some really messed up scenes in it.  Great to watch in the dark.)

Well holy bonkers. I was going to post Heimdall, somehow I didn't even think of the idea that he's Mac. That's a pretty danged perfect fit, and would be awesome to see :D

Lea I guess falls under the general "ladies of winter screw anything that moves" vibe that seems to be going on... But then again, huddling up for cold nights is an excellent way to stay alive in winter :D
yes, I am male and I engage in the activity known as shipping. I just wish harry some relief from time to time. He's getting tortured enough as it is...

I think, therefore I am. I am therefore people must believe I exist. Ergo: I think people believe in me ;)

Other than Lara devouring Madeline; which was more cannibalistic than anything else, is there proof she swings both ways?  Did I miss a inference or innuendo in one of the books?

I defenitely want Shiva to appear. The Hindu god of destruction. Preferably as one of Demonreach's prisoner whom Harry needs to talk to or make bargains with.
But they were doughnuts of darkness. Evil, damned doughnuts, tainted by the spawn of darkness . . .

She tried to get Luccio into bed in Turn Coat, and IIRC her partners in Backup were women.

Greek: Zeus and his brother's Poseidon and Hades
Roman: Mars, the Roman's turned Zeus and Hera's son into one worthy of his father. Mars was a soldier and a general. Ares was simply a monster...and often and coward.
Egyptian: Ra, Horus: as a constituent of Odin if they don't have to be at odds. He was a war god in addition to being god of the sky, and his warrior aspect is what helped him win the throne. perhaps he would be interested in someone like Ramirez
Norse: Thor and Loki, the comics helped. Thor from mythology needed allot more work.
Japanese: Raiden (played allot of MK)

I'd be interested in how Jim would deal with any of the preceding

IIRC According to Thomas most white court vampires eat both sexes. Papa Raith. Was an exception.

Which short story?  All I can find is that she isnt very discriminating, like most of the White Court.
