I have had a very long dry spell for my writing, but I am back at it and wrote two whole pages yesterday. So far not much today other than refining and expanding what I wrote yesterday.

3600 words last night, another chapter done.  Just a hair short of 50kwords.

kittensgame, Sandcastle Builder, Homestuck, Welcome to Night Vale, Civ III, lots of print genre SF, and old-school SATT gaming if I had the time.  Also Pandemic Legacy is the best game ever.

The book I started for the NaNoWriMo events is now over 68,000 words. Let's see if I can hit 75,000 words before Christmas....

I'm currently working on two projects - writing one while brainstorming the other. There's not much writing being done sadly, but my wife and I are about to close on a house on Thursday so we're busy packing! (There's a room in the basement perfect for a writing office, but I'm not allowed to have it unless I release a successful novel  :o ;D)

My active project is close to 10,000 words right now and looking good. I have the story written in my head. (I jot notes here and there, but I like to think that if the story is good enough I'll remember it.) - It's a science fiction story set in outerspace - think along the lines of a first person perspective James Bond or Indiana Jones adventure

My secondary project is Urban Fantasy and in its infant stages. It takes inspiration from apocolyptic mythology and I currently can write the story three different ways. I'm just not sure which way would be the best. So I'll just be playing around with ideas until I can find the right path.

Okay, muse whacked me with her telephone pole and I just finished 2 pages of a new scene for my angels novel. Taking a coffee break then back to finish the scene. I think it will take at least 2 more pages to flesh out. And with a little effort it could become a stand alone short story that I could submit to some magazines. Or even expand into a novelette.

Kind of the opposite here: last night I somehow managed to delete the entire draft of my novel! :o
Thankfully, I had an earlier draft saved, so it isn't a total disaster, but I do have to re-write a couple of scenes from memory. Oh, well...

Ouch! :o   As I was once told.  Have at least 3 backups and at least one of them off site.

Added 2000 words today in my epic fantasy novel.  Up to 214,000 now.

I make sure to save my work on hard drive, an external drive, and by emailing it to myself.  If the computer dies, at least I will have a backup somewhere that is easily retrievable.
