Black Cat (manga) DFRPG Conversion
« on: February 06, 2011, 02:59:15 PM »
Looking at some of the topics around here about converting manga characters to DFRPG reminded me of something I've been wanting to do for a while: convert one of my favorite mangas (Black Cat) to a playable DFRPG campaign. I kind of want to start by statting some of the characters. Here's a quick list.
Train Heartnet (with "railgun").
Sven Vollfield (With glaspar eye).
Train (beginning of series)
Sven (beginning of series)
Eve (End of series)
Rinslet Walker
Chronos #s (janus and #10 in particular)
Tao Masters (any of them really)

Huh, there are a lot of manga conversions on the boards right now. And they're all about manga I like. Anyway, here are my thoughts:

Chrono numbers: A couple of the basic physical powers, an IoP, and a pile of stunts.
Taoists: A lot of variation here, but some would basically just have a version of Channeling that allows specializations instead of using foci.
Eve: Modular Abilities. Perhaps also a Supernatural Sense and a custom power that lets her create objects.
Rinslet: Pure mortal, lots of stunts.
Sven: Crafting specialist with a custom power.
Train: As Chrono numbers. Railgun could be represented as a custom power that allows him to spend a fate point to inflict extra stress.
