Here's your post from before.  Doesn't look like it.

I thought I had asked to be reserved a spot for the fan dinner, but must have forgot to do so. Too much working on my writing November to December.

Anyway, hope to meet many of you at Marscon. I am the other author with Shannon on the Putting the Speculative in Romance panel on Saturday. I write as myself Pamela K. Kinney and under the pseudonym, Sapphire Phelan for paranormal romance and erotic urban fantasy.

As for dressing up, did plenty of costuming in my day and even done an urban fantasy vamp for couple years. Not sure if and will for this con. Dresing as any of my characters from urban fantasies of mine--nope, not the right body size and even age for some.  ::)
Was going to get my husband (who is con security head) as Dresdan, but money been going to alot of other stuff. We shall see. Two weeks is not a good enough time to make costumes and do the staff.  :-\

I'll make an exception for one of Shannon's fellow panelists.  You're added!

Another question:

Will Jim or Shannon have any books for sale at MarsCon?  Or should we buy them elsewhere and bring along to have signed?

The last I heard we were having a dealer that will be selling the audio books. He may also have some of the newer books. Priscille will have something also.

As for books.... I'm not sure.  The Penguin booth at NYCC had some, but not a whole lot.  Pris will have lots of maps for sale. :)

I'd pick up a book just in case if I were you. being a smaller con you have a smaller chance of finding stuff and as ME mention the penguin booth at NYCC was big and books were still hard to come by.

Yeah, I'd recommend bringing your own books.

I had already read all of Electrical Butter's copies of the books when I was in B&N considering weather or not I should buy a nook.  I rounded a corner and saw the entire shelf covered in the Dresden Files books and then checked and found that the electronic versions were generally a buck cheaper and decided that I would buy the nook, and then I'd have an excuse to spend the $$ on all the books in the Dresden Files to fill it up with.  So I'm going to buy a 2nd backing for the Nook to have Jim sign and in the future when I go to signings of other favorite authors that's what I am going to bring.

Serack, there were those at the NYCC who had Jim sign their Nooks and other E-books.  :)  PG and I happened to get a book and one of Priscillie's maps signed by both of 'em. yay!

Jim signed the back of my Sony Reader and took up about half the available space. So what was the next thing I did? Bought a cover so nobody would ever just happen to see the signature while in public, thereby denying myself possible gloating. Yes, that's right, I'm an idjit.

yah I saw pictures of some of these

B&N sells nook backs in different colors so that you can sorta personalize it.  I'm buying one specificaly for Signatures so that I won't end up wearing them off during use... I'll proally prop up the signed back on my book shelf in front of my mistborn trilogy in anticipation of Brandon Sanderson's next signing in the area since I intend him to be sig #2

Yup, got mine signed--

Had it in a slipcase, but bought a new, book-like case because the way I held it has rubbed a bit at a couple of the signatures.

Serack, I think you're pretty smart to protect that autograph so it won't be damaged...someday you'll find a clear silicone cover and then you'll REALLY gloat! :D

Weather has been weird in Williamsburg this year. The last I read on the Weather Channel was for Snow on Monday, Wintry mix on Tuesday, nice Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday. Snow on Saturday & rain on Sunday. But the con will go on. You make it, we will be there!!
