Usually I squirrel away in my room and write between sessions, but if you're planning to be there, please let me know!  Meg

I would LOVE to go to try and get an appointment with Amy Boggs... but that would be a very expensive trip for me.

I live in South Texas, so it's only about an 8 hour drive (Why didn't anyone TELL me Texas was so big?). I could deal with that.  Pretty easy hop on SWA too, but I'd have to get a rental car.  I'll need to decide soon, since I'll have to put in my February schedule requests in the next week or so.

I really need to figure out if it will be worth the money for someone like me who's only just returned to writing.

But not as huge as Alaska.

I take it you aren't a native Texan?

I didn't know I was from Texas until I moved here.

Actually I've been in Texas for most of the last 15 years.  I had to leave for Michigan for a few years during my training and my wife's running joke while we were stuck in the Great Frozen North was "Why didn't anyone TELL us it was going be cold in Michigan?" because the universal response when we told people where we were moving was "Michigan?  Wow. It's cold there."

I was born in Waco, TX.  Don't remember living there - it was war time & we moved when my Dad got sent overseas. First place I remember living was Wheeling, WV (Grandpap's house).

I'll be at ConDFW the weekend before as a panelist, does that count? :)

I can't make the trip two weeks in a row.

Well I think I'll be passing on the first con, the near $300 price is a lot too much not to mention sold out. I may try the DonDFW though as I'm only in Austin. Tickets are cheap and I have a friend in the area I might be able to talk into some sleeping arrangements so I don't have to pay for a hotel.
