Are TV show quotes O.K. too?

Nope.  Technically, we don't have a license for the TV show, we have a license for the books. :)

Can we get an updated list of what you're still looking for?  Thanks.

I'm trying to claw to that on my to-do list.  If I can get to it before I'm out of town for my 5-year anniversary vacation, I will!

I'm starting my retabulation of the quotes.

And FYI:

Unsure of the book but:
Mechanincs: "I called my mechaninc Mike, he's the Jesus Christ of mechanincs, and he said the Beetle was ready."

I'm not gonna be able to use that one.  I need exact quotes with book citations.  FYI.

I'd really love to get some specific book titles to associate with these two.  Could someone supply?

Rapport-
"Are you always a wiseass?"
"No, sometimes I'm asleep."

and

"Who the hell are you?"
"I the hell am harry"

Here's a new one for Conviction:

“Stop making me think,” Murphy said. “I’m believing over here.”

What's the source of this one?

Hey guys!  By and large, y'all have knocked it out of the park (holy crap, the amount of resources quotes were incredible).  There are just a few more things I'd love to see.

SKILLS THAT COULD STILL USE ATTENTION

I would adore getting just a little more effort on this short list:

  • Discipline (Concentration, Self-Control): I'd love to get another half dozen or so of these, as it's a very magic-relevant skill.  At the moment we've got 3 or 4.
  • Empathy: This is mostly taken care of -- but in Storm Front, when Harry's on the phone with the chauffeur lady, he does a number of Empathy-like things, and that's glaringly missing.  I'd love it if someone could hit this one.
  • Deceit: Also mostly taken care of -- but with a stunning omission of anything Thomas.  I'd love to see Harry's thoughts on Thomas's ability to lie from early in Blood Rites, as well as Thomas's double-cross and other gambits as the shit hits the fan in Grave Peril.
  • Stealth: Much better, but still a little light on this one.
  • Survival (animal handling, outdoor camouflage, riding, wilderness scavenging, tracking beasts): Still only two quotes!  Anything having to do with dealing with animals, navigating in the outdoors, would be much appreciated here, if it can be found.  Maybe something with Ebenezar references time on the farm?

HANDING OUT THE THANK-YOU REWARDS

I'll be posting shortly with a list of names of people I'll want to contact me for their free Don't Rest Your Head PDF.  If you made it into my quote-file, you'll be on the list.  If you think you submitted something valid and I missed you, speak up, once the list is posted!

Well, here's a similar one while I try to track the original down...

Dead Beat, page 140
God bless Mechanic Mike. If I heard a car complaining about its closed doors being open one more time, I would have to disintegrate something.

Thanks; I goofed, and forgot to list Craftsmanship as needing a few more.  Anything where Harry references his mechanic is perfect. :)
