*SQUEEE* :D

I will definitely bring White Night to be signed, but can we also bring other book(s) or paraphernalia to be signed?

Hey, Valor. Looks like I'll be at the HB signing, after all! :D

So if a blond woman walks up and says, "I am but mad north-northwest," don't worry. ;)

Question: Can I bring my copies of SF and/or FM for signage? Or will I have to buy something at the store itself? I don't think I can afford a hardcover right now...

true, very true! *reconsiders costumes* hmmmmm, I don't think I'm pretty or skinny enough to pull off Lea or Molly. But, if I curl my hair, wear professional clothes and get a shoulder rig (no gun of course... ::)) I could pull off Murphy! Add a cop badge and we're set ;D

think that would work? (even though I wear glasses?)

just called the Huntington Beach Barnes&Noble, they said:

no restrictions, no tickets, show up, take pictures, bring all your friends... (seriously that's what the guy told me!)

so, it should be a great time!

Well, first post and what not -

I interviewed Jim yesterday for our website, and I also got permission from him to post on our site the entire Q&A he did at the Huntington Beach Barnes & Noble. (The only condition was to provide a link to his site, which he did.) We're very proud to have Jim be the first interview for "The Job" (my regular column) up in our new site.

You can check out the interview HERE and the panel is found HERE. Hope you like what we did.

Many thanks to Jim for his generosity.

Maria

Neither of the links worked for me. Did anyone else have that problem?

Aww, seeing the website you represent, I was hoping you'd ask about the deliberate Buffy quotes in your interview, namely Harry's line in Summer Knight about how his phallic foci "make me feel all manly" (quoting Spike in "Halloween") and Murphy's comment that Harry has "fruit punch mouth" in "Something Borrowed" (quoting Buffy in the Season 1 finale).  I'm curious as to whether it's Harry and Murphy quoting them or Jim quoting them. :D

As for the panel, the story about Frost is amazing!

With Lydia and the Soulgaze, here's the passage I think Jim's referencing:
Quote
I know that something's coming. I don't know what, and I don't know why or how. I just know what I see."
"Which is?"
"Fire," she whispered. "Wind. I see dark things and a dark war. I see my death coming for me, out of the spirit world. And I see you at the middle of it all. You're the beginning, the end of it. You're the one who can make the path go different ways."
"That's your vision? Iowa has less corn."
She turned her face away. "I see what I see."

We only had 15 minutes alloted for the interview, and when I run it yesterday to transcribe it, it went to 14:45 minutes. Not too much time for specific Buffy reference questions this time around, sorry.

My favorite Buffy quote is from the story in "My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding," when Murphy wakes up and goes, "Harry, you have fruit punch mouth."
