This could be kinda awesome.  And possibly one of the cheapest/best ways to manage a group that big.

I value my internal organs.  I respect my body and my health.  I'm not setting foot inside a Burger King. :D

I shall inquire!

Edit:  Left a message with their private event planning folks.  Hopefully they'll call back in the morning.  Otherwise, I'll try again.

If not, I can talk to my mom. She arranged meetings for her company at the 51st and 6th building (she worked ten floors above em). She should (nothing is a guarantee, especially with my family) still know who to get in touch with there.

51st and 6th is too far from the Javits Center, unfortunately.  It's like a 35-minute walk.  Times Square is probably the furthest I'd go, being closer to 15 minutes.

My guess is that if I rent a private room, I'll pay a flat fee, which I'll divide up among the attendees beforehand.  I'll probably charge a smidge more in the event the room isn't filled, so I don't end up getting screwed.  Then if the room is filled, I'll either refund the difference, donate it to the charity of Jim's choice, or do something else awesome with it, like an enviable door prize or Sugar Sweet Sunshine cupcakes for everyone.  I'll keep taking RSVPs until I fill the room.
