Good lord...you'd think I was decrypting the secret to making money.

Sheesh, it would have been a better panel but it turned into a Q&A pretty quickly.

I will do no such thing, I just meant to say if the others stopped distracting him, he would be done faster. And I have patience I was watching the topic the other day but I didn't say anything until now ;)
Let it take the time it takes as long as that time is shorter than a week:p.

And Priscellie you sound like Donna right now.

:D  I'm not even sure what everyone's actually talking about.

What I've told everyone who wasn't there to listen to the panels it seemed that a lot of the smaller authors were kind of bullying Jim and Shannon by talking over them and talking for much longer. Kind of drove me nuts personally.

I don't know that it was their "bullying" Jim and Shannon so much as Jim and Shannon being polite and non-pushy (no, I didn't see it personally, but I've seen them and it seems consistent with their personalities). I may very easily be wrong on this.

I'm being super patient now, as I would have no flipping clue how to upload/download, split watchamacallit video.

Not this one specifically but one of them on "creating fan bases" actually did cut Shannon off or would come in right on her heels. It actually drove me nuts to the point that I won't buy/read anything of her's. Can't remember her name but I'd know it if I saw it.

I dont think tha was true. They are just such cool easy going people that it was just polite of them to let the others speak. But I didn't se them get interupted or anything when they were talking.

side note... I had to work REALLY hard not to gush and geek out, But a mere hour or two before I had to leave for the airport I got to sit down with Jim in the lounge and chat for a few in the bar. (30-45 min)
Then share the shuttle ride to the airport with Shannon and Jim.

They really are some of the kindest people I have met.

I'd leave it that way in text, Jim doesn't like mud slinging of other authors here.

addition to the fan base though... I do agree that thre were a few times taht the conversations and comments were going and one would jsut barley have stopped speaking when antoher would jump right in and all but cut the other person off. But I think I remember it happening to more of them then just Shannon.

But the vidoe will prove me wrong if I am.

Thanks, Enj.  Yeah, let's leave unkind remarks about other authors off this board.  Heck, it's possible that the author isn't used to speaking in front of crowds, and didn't mean to be rude.  Panels can be really exciting, both for fans and authors.  Maybe she just got a bit over-excited. :D
