I was wondering if someone could get me some verification. On the frapper map it says that there will be a book signing in Calgary Alberta, does anyone know if this is true and if so when it will be taking place??

How far in advance do events generally get posted to this board?  I was at Mobicon last weekend and unless my eyes deceived me, the program said Jim was going to be a guest next year.  Is he definitely signed on to do this?

Now I really WISH that Jim would show up at Dragon Con. James Marsters is scheduled to show up at the con this year. Do you know how "kick butt" that would be if there were a panel with Jim discussing the Dresden Files books and show and that James would read some excerpts from the book and talk about the process!

Just curious as to when the White Night will be published into paperback? Is there any possibility of visiting the Western New York area for a signing, Not sure I can handle the drive to Philly? We never seem to get any of the more creative authors :(

Hey, the map pins show a yellow dot for signing in Des Moines?  Did I miss something??  If he's coming he'd better bring Shannon too!  Apparently all the IA people are too shy to sign up!  Time to brow beat some friends I think!

Um, Jim? We didn't want to tell you this, but we cloned you for travel purposes. We've nicknamed him Jamison, and managed to engineer the motion sickness out of him. He'll take care of your appearances when you have to fly.

Unfortunately, there were side effects in making him non-dramanine-able, and, well...look, ignore that really large bar tab he rang up with Bob Asprin and John Steakley, ok?  We'll work on fixing that.

Wow. Hey Mickey, once you're done with Jamison, can I keep him as a pet? I can teach him Warcraft and we could try take over Blizzard company. Later, I also wanna sell him on eBay, under Jim Butcher. Please? ;D

You would sell Jameson on eBay? *gasp*

Do you accept PayPal?

(And wow, this explains "Jim's" peculiar behaviour when I met him at NYCC.  I *knew* Marcone's favourite color wasn't really polka-dot!)

The pins are closely related to the whistles.

I received an announcement from Polaris (formerly Toronto Trek) that Jim will be an author guest of honour at the 2008 con from July 11 - 13 2008.

This is the blurb:

Quote
Polaris 22 is pleased to announce our first Author
  Guest or Honour:

Jim Butcher is the New York Times Best Selling author
of "The Dresden Files" novels, telling the story of
wizard Harry Dresden, who solves crimes in modern-day
Chicago. The series has spawned nine novels, the
tenth, "Small Favor", coming in April, and a recent
  television series.

Butcher's other fantasy series is the "Codex Alera"
novels, the latest, "Captain's Fury", is due to be
published in December.  He has also written a
  Spider-Man novel, "The Darkest Hours".

Unfortunately I may have to be in North Carolina! Arghhhh!

Any Signings for Captain's Fury?
« Reply #27 on: December 03, 2007, 10:34:44 PM »
I haven't seen any indication of any signings for Captain's Fury.  Is there a Signed Page one in the works?

FYI, The Poisoned Pen in Scottsdale had Jim listed for a signing in April (but now that they revamped their website, it is no longer listed).

I'll have to double-check with Shannon, but I was under the impression that Jim will not be doing any signings for Captain's Fury, due to massive deadline pressure.

Anyone got any scoop on Jim Butcher being announced as a guest speaker at MileHiCon.08?  Anyone know any details or attend last years which was held in Denver?  It's not until Oct, I think and the announcement said it was confirmed Oct 29th?  Thanks for any info!
