Fate points and multiple aspects
« on: May 08, 2010, 01:15:18 AM »
I don't remember seeing it anywhere but on a characters action can he tag more than one aspect to grant a greater bonus? say there were 3 taggable aspects during his action could he spend 3 FATE points, assuming he has them for a +6 bonus to the roll?

Yes you can. The limiting factor is that doing such things runs you out of fate points very quickly.

Yes. You could tag all seven of your aspects at once if you wanted to and had the fuel. And some of the environment and something on the enemy.

Cool thanks! Going to run my group through a playtest tomorrow. This will be our first time using FATE. I'm already pretty sold on hte rules I want to make sure I get it right and see what they think.

Just a little comment:

Tagging an aspect does not cost a fate point, but can only be done when the aspect is newly introduced.
What you are all talking about here is Invoking an aspect.

Everything else still applies. Carry on :-)
