Dresden Files Related Podcasts?
« on: April 28, 2010, 03:45:53 PM »
I'm so happy that the RPG is finally here, but I find myself a little starved for discussion about it. Having recently heard Fred's interview on Fear the Boot, I wish there were more podcast discussions of the RPG.

During the wait for the game I scoured podcast descriptions for interviews with the designers, discussion of other FATE games like Spirit of the Century, and invested time listening to the same previews time and again.

Now, I realize that DFPRG is a niche product, and with the pre-order less than a month behind us, it's mostly the hardcore fans who have delved into it very deeply, so I can't expect a huge influx of new shows, or dare I hope, a Dresden Files rpg focused podcast for some months yet.

So what podcasts are out there with discussions about the RPG that I may have missed? Has anyone heard of, or will be participating in an upcoming podcast discussion about it? Are there any actual-play recordings?

Here's a list with links of the best discussions I've found so far (focussing on the more recent interviews):

Fear the Boot had a recent interview with Fred Hicks that had some great anecdotes and explanations of the design goals and their implementation: http://www.feartheboot.com/ftb/index.php/archives/1535

The guys at Narrative Control take a lot about the DFRPG, and FATE games in general, but their discussion about Compels is one of the best:

What others would you add to the list?

Well, there's Fred Hick's and Chris Hanrahan's podcast, That's How We Roll. Bit more on the publishing side of things, but there is some Dresden stuff in there.
