New Aine artwork T-shirts?
« on: September 24, 2009, 04:38:45 AM »
Not sure if this is the right place to post this question but......

Just wondering when we are going to be able to buy t-shirts with Aine's artwork of the Eldest Gruff? Seems like there was a lot of enthusiasm and then it just vanished.

Priscellie? Iago? Mickey? Anyone? Just wondering....

I just find it a little perplexing that folks like Aine and Blaze are willing to donate their talent, and no one is taking them up on the offer. Iago was recently talking about how we need more funds since upgrading the servers. Aine offered her artwork months ago and someone said they were working on getting it done and then nothing. I know of at least a round dozen promotional item vendors that can easily make the t-shirts. Do the Jim Butcher marketing folks just need someone to volunteer to be the front man on setting things up? If so I can do that.

Yeah and if we print T shirts or Mugs on demand, there doesn't even need to be investment, just prepayment.

Oo. A Macanally's coffee mug. I like that idea.

I know that the guys over at the RPG podcast "Fear the boot" are using http://www.cafepress.com/ to sell merchandise with good succes, I don´t know if you have a cafe press shop running for you at the moment, but if you want to sell Dresden Files and Codex Alera themed merchandise to keep the site running this might be a good idear, as far as I remember their prices is low, and it´s running as an "on demand" service, so no more than you sell will be produced. Not burning you in with a bunch of stuff you can´t sell.
It´s mostly t-shirts, other forms of clothing, mugs, and the like, you just provide your art work and you have it going. I hope you can use it.:)

So, if we were to...  say offer some artwork to help support this site, we would do that.... how?
