Need guidance on supernatural senses please
« on: July 29, 2017, 12:18:18 AM »
I was wondering if folks can give me an idea of what would be allowed for a power like broad supersenses, since it looks like a very good investment. Is it possible to have a sense to sniff out when someone is trying to lie to you? OR better yet, can you give examples of how far can I go with a power like this?

Also how would you describe daredevils supersenses in the dresdenverse for this express purpose?

Canon doesn't really have much to offer here. Every GM has to set the limits for their own group.

Since a supernatural sense costs the same as a stunt, I'd definitely let someone smell lies. But they'd have to roll for it normally, as if they'd moved the Empathy trapping to another skill with a stunt.

As for Daredevil, I'd give him a really high Alertness and a -3 sense-suite. Some of the senses (like enhanced hearing) would work like stunts giving +2 Alertness for a specific sense, others (like the radar) would be genuinely new senses.
