Quite correct, yes. Which is why they won't usually do that. I mean, most people with that many Fate Points will have some Aspect they can use to aid their own attacks.

On p.106 it says that if an aspect is invoked against you - you receive a Fate point at the end of the Exchange not at the end of the scene or fight as someone mentioned up-thread.

So the tag doesn't get me a fate point but if my enemies keep invoking my broken rib consequence I get a fate point at the end of each exchange (round in D&D speak) that they do, correct?

Correct, the important thing to note here, is that an aspect can only tagged by fate point once per exchange. So if you or your opponent is shooting for max effect they will have to hit as many aspects as possible.
