(ironcally, its not the alpha male in charge- its the eldest female. vuclans and romaulans are seriously matriarchal)
so its canon..they might be or might not be. much like the identity of spocks wife, we will never know.
All i got from this is spock got a wife and a lover...damn he was a playa.

spock has to have a snuggle bunny, or he goes bonkers
he reached adulthood during TOS
his promised wifey said no
so hes got 7 years from tha point
he gets married..but only after kirk dies
when he speaks of kirk the word he uses in vulcan translates as 'life partner'
after tos, he left to join the monastary (and thus no wifey recquired) but flunked out
the original edition of STTMP has a foreward, written by shatner, as kirk, in which he states the two of them were lovers

thats the nic ething about ST imo as comapred to other sci fi (cough coughsw) the technology keeps changing and improving.
note how the narada- a mining ship, amred with mining probes for crying out loud- flattened but the klingon and the feds over the distance of a century

With this many new divisions, I'm finding it hard to envision precisely what-all might be left in the general "Friendly Pub" space.
Also, would it be considered reasonable to post in two sub-boards if you have something that seems to fit in both places - for example, if you find a totally awesome Dr. Who fanvid on youtube, would putting a link both in It Came from The Internets and in the Dr. Who thread in Media Favourites be considered OK ?
Or an awesome Soap Bob being sold and couldn't figure out where it would fit in the new system? It fits as an internet thing (since its an internet company selling it) but also as something author related, book related and media related. I ended up putting in the book section without thinking which in hindsight was not the best place for it.
