DFRPG / Plot Advice for a Scenario
« on: March 15, 2016, 04:19:18 PM »
I'm running a campaign set primarily in Portland, but that crawls into the Seattle area from time to time. I have devised a scenario for my players where the Baroness of Seattle (the leader of the Red Court) is sending out a message to her enemies to back off. At the same time, I want this "message" to be a distraction for some other thing that is going on.

Essentially, while she is sending out spectres (she's also a necromancer) and having houses firebombed, I want there to be an alternate motive to for which all this mayhem is a distraction. But for the life of me, I can't figure out what that should be.

So, here I am fishing for plot hooks    :-[

Any insights/ideas will be highly appreciated. Bring on the dastardly!

I play in a group that sometimes has eight or more and we still have a good time. But, yeah, it sometimes gets a bit hairy GM-wise and we have to split into groups from time to time. Still, it's doable.

Again, forgive the "duh", but when I compel the Hunger, should this come in the form of a Discipline roll or just a role-playing situation based on what's going on in-game? My player is trying to hide the fact the fact that he's infected so I suppose that this would represent opportunities to complicate that. I want the Hunger to be a big factor for him character-wise so that
(click to show/hide)
it's a "big deal".

As far as the fangs, while I suppose he could break skin with his normal teeth, it does increase the "ew" factor for him   ;D

I have a Red Court Infected in my game and I have a couple of potentially "duh" questions I could use some help with...

He's a "Blood Drinker" (obviously not to the point of death)--but he doesn't have the "Claws" feature--so he doesn't have fangs. So how is he going about this blood drinking?

Should he only be making Hunger-based Discipline rolls if he uses his powers? Or during other times as well? I'm a little fuzzy on that. It seems like Hunger should be a bigger part of his life than the rules indicate.

Any insights will be much appreciated.

Thanks!
