Do we know his Dragon*Con schedule yet?

I would totally buy a talking Bob the Skull. This needs to happen. Talking Bob the Skull needs to be mass produces. If my friend can have a Tribble snickering at her desk then I certainly want a talking Bob...

"Bob! Help me out here!"

"Can't. Boobs." Lol

I went to the first signing he had on Friday (mostly to make sure I got in because I know D*C lines escalate as the weekend rolls on) and got the three books I wanted signed - SubPress Backup, First Lord's Fury, and the hardcover Storm Front that my boyfriend managed to finagle from the internet for a cheap sum. Also, my boyfriend ended up ahead of me (if you were in line that day, we were - I think - the only Harry/Murphy pair in line) and he got our Bob the Skull that I put together years ago from an aquarium skull and some orange sticky notes signed.

Gotta find me a new skull now. XD This Bob's getting pride of place on the tall bookshelves away from kitties.

Also, do we have a photo sharing post? I've been looking for pics of us and I snapped a Maeve that was in line with us as well as a Michael and a Molly who teamed up together from different points in the line to take a picture.

I was wondering why that sounded so far away! We ended up towards the front but allllll the way to the left edge.

Oh, I was on the right side of the balcony if you were facing the balcony. :) I couldn't help it. Word vomit.

Nice Bob the skull!

I was in line waiting to meet Jim and some dude had a Bob the Skull that actually SAID quotes from the book and lit up. It was totally awesome. :)

Every now and again we'd let three slide past, but Jim's goal is to say hi to as many people as possible, and he can't do that if some schmuck brings up 10 books. No way would I, or anyone else guarding him, let that happen.

You guys were amazing, by the way. So friendly, so patient. I am always impressed by the caliber of people Jim's writing attracts.

Aw shucks... no my dear, YOU'RE amazing! Lol :D

Waiting in line was no problem too. Just chatting Dresden verse stuff and also telling everyone about the forums was an awesome way to pass time :)

And YAY I did see you!!!

I KNOW! I was so excited! I was asking everyone "Are you on the Forum?!" And you were the only person I knew I had a possibility of seeing. I met no other person that was on the forum it was surprising! You are so sweet btw that hug you gave me made my day and was icing on the cake that was meeting JimButcher! :D lol

I was the chick during the Q&A that yelled, "The Building was on fire and it wasn't my fault!" From the balcony :D Jeditigger if I see you I shall say hi!

Well I'm in the signing line now and one thing that is kind of irritating me is that some people have brought like 5 books to have signed o.o If anything will take up time, that will. I would have assumed a 2 book limit... But there's a guy in line right now with literally a bag full of books. Obviously all those books getting signed isn't going to happen bit I find it interesting that some people are even trying to pull that lol...

I will be at the Con as well! I'll be planning on attending the Sunday 11:30 signing, an Hour with Jim Butcher and the Fae Friend or Foe panels. I might drop by some others on Saturday and Monday but those I plan on going to for sure.

I'll be sure to have my forum name MetalFae printed on my D*C Name tag. I'm usually blond but since I'm going as Pepper Potts I'll be the strawberry blonde/red head ;)

I just got my book in the mail and I was SOOOO excited to see that Jim would be at D*C! I will be there...

Do we know yet the, "When and Where" about the signing/appearences? I couldn't find anything.  :-[

The Bar / Re: The Brewmaster is in.

I have discovered a new Gluten Free beer!

If you have heard of Estrella Daum, they have a new beer out called Estrella Daum Dura that is gluten free. It's delicious! They made it from barley but they flitered it down to like 1 ppm so it's safe for even Celiac's. However they don't market it on the box as Gluten Free because they think people wont buy it if they think it's GF and they want all people to drink it not just GF people. :)

You'll probably be best off trying microbrews.  Saw a sorghum based brew but haven't tried it.  Or you can learn to make mead.  Honey, water, yeast, fruit if you like.

Mmmmm..... I'm going to have to crack open a bottle from my christmas stash this weekend.

O Rly? I've not tried Mead.. The Red Bridge GF Beer is actually Sorghum based I think.. My favorite GF beer is Greene's but it has to be imported all the way from Europe and it only comes in HUGE bottles with about 3 servings in it. But once you open it up you can't save it... tastes weird after leaving in the Fridge... Ah well. :) I'll have to take a look around and see what else I can find!

Ditto on Dragon*Con. I'm new to the book series and didn't get the opportunity to attend any related panels in 2006.

I'm also looking to see if anyone here is interested or willing to run a fan table in the Marriott mezzanine. I'd do it, but I'm already committed to another fan group. Fan tables are free, BTW. But if someone were interested, I'm more than willing to offer my experience, skills and resources to the endeavor. I've been organizing and running them for various groups for the past 4 years.

Ditto on Dragon*Con! It'd be awesome to have Jim there. I will be there this year. Will any other Dresden fans? If there is a fan table I'd love to know about it and where it will be! :)

I dare you to find one point in either Sherlock or Iron Man where he was legit scared.

Legit scared and snarky scared sound like two different things :P
