I really haven't been on here in a while!

I'm sending out the first two chapters of my second Daniel Quinn novel, Antagonize, to beta readers this week. I'm trying somethign new where I send them two chapters every week for the next couple of months.

The cover art is done and looks amazing. I'll be revealing that on my blog and website January 3rd.

I decided late last night that I'm going to try NaNoWriMo this year. It'll be my first time! As I've been working on my second book, I realized my goals have really been falling short, and I'm not getting as much done as I used to. I figure what better way to get back in the groove than to take one of my story ideas and try and punch it out in 30 days?!

Does anyone know which type of admission is required to see Jim at all of his posted events? I'm assuming the expensive one, but it doesn't say anywhere on the schedule that a specific pass is required.

So, after some thought, I've decided to shop out my first book to agents. I realize  since I've already self-published it that there's a better chance of being rejected, but I figure why not? You only live once right? If the book is rejected then it stays as is and I self-publish the next book.

The wife and kids were out of town this weekend for a camping trip with her parents, so I got to stay home and punch out a few chapters of my second book. It was tough to start but I think I hit a good rhythm now.

On another note - I discovered a book coming out next spring sounds an awful lot like my next project. It's dystopian and mine is epic fantasy, but there were enough similarities that it made me look twice. It kind of sucks, but then again, the book isn't out yet, so I have no idea how similar the two would be. At least by self-publishing, I can still write mine and get it out there.

I normally don't get teary eyed while I'm writing certain scenes, but I did get teary eyed one day when I was brainstorming a coming of age story focusing on a father and son relationship. The tears solidified that the idea was definitely a keeper!

Work on chapter 3 of my second book has begun! It definitely is harder to start the second book IMO, but now the words are flowing much easier. Gotta have it ready for a November release!

Deposed King you are a writing BEAST lol. If only I could achieve the word count you do! Awesome!  8)

Spywolf don't ever worry about how much you write. What's important is that you just stick to it! Writing 100-200 words a day is better than no words at all!  ;D

As for me I'm about halfway through chapter 2 of my second book. I can't recall how many words I have at the present time.  :o

I have about 2000 words typed up for my second novel. No reviews on the first one yet but a couple people have mentioned that they're really enjoying it  :D
