There are things the other elements can't do like stoping air flow a round an enemy to strangel them or bending light with light magic to make a vail. and using water to make a vail would also reqier more contrartastion on the humitaty or mist around you  and and now how to minipulat refraction, some gm's may make you pay more for the effect then what would be needed for something alot more basic.

I was playing DFRPG and set it to Tower of druagea and had lots of fun, so i wanted to share some of the ideas with you

In a part of the story the pc's enter a room with magic marbles that causes effects and are really fun to use and tag for the seen.
roll a d6 and,
1 change gender
2 become 18bit
3 turn into a were cat or dog
4 wear maids outfit
5 shrink to 3 inches
6 become a cartoon

I find that this make the players get fate points like candy and get a really good laugh at it as well and lets PC really come alive as to how thay would react in a comical situation, its also very funny in a battle sequence when pc attacks with a feather duster.

Anyone do anything similar

Black with blood splat numbers

yea thats about right for greed but the shield is the wrong homunculus,the steel body was for a different one.

you could probably have a player use build skill to help add to the bridge for an extra points and trig would be better then an evoc, since evoc would be better used to throw the player over the gap

Sorry i thought i was on the regular DFRPG

i would like the enchanted item to be able to contribute to magic related shift only, and only be allowed power from extra shifts from magic use.

EXP: Wolfman uses a fire spell on a ice fay and rolls a 2 and has a discipline of 3 and only called for a conviction of 3 (2+3 =  5-3 = 2)
so there would be 2 extra shifts, the fay dies for this example, he adds the extra to the ring 

latter on a nightmare from the nevernever and you use the ring to touch the sob, would there be consequence for such an item?

and am i going about this the wrong way, yes i have read the book cover to cover but i have never played a paper and pen game and haven't found a group or mentor to play with.

I was thinking of allowing an Item of how like Harry's ring into one of my games, extra shifts can be added to it for back up but i want a minor consequence for it live the shifts added must be a value of +2 and get halved or something like extra mental stress, or the possibility of only using it for ritual or trig spells.

Any idea's on how i should approach this?
