Author Craft / Re: Writing Reference: What's on your bookshelf?

It's the Writer's Digest Howdunit series.  I found three, I think, on amazon.  Poisons, Forensics, and I forget the other.  If you do a forum search for howdunit, it should bring up the post with a link to the Poisons one.

Awesome!  Thanks.

There was a link posted somewhere or other on here about a how to kinda thing, I think Reader's Digest, that JB mentioned during a Q&A or somethink, that I want to get.

Love to know what this one is if you ever find it.  Thanks!

Author Craft / My Story Question
« on: September 09, 2008, 08:28:47 PM »
I'm working on my story skeleton as demonstrated on Jim's blog.  This is what I've got.  Does it look like I'm doing this right?

When a terrorist seeks a deadly magical artifact, former Paranormal-Ops agent, Craig Lockman, must keep the artifact from discovery while protecting the daughter he never knew he had.  But will he succeed when pitted against a traitorous ally and a vengeful extremist determined to unleash an army of dead souls on U.S. soil?

Author Craft / Subplots???
« on: June 26, 2008, 07:49:04 PM »
Anyone here using Jim's outlining techniques he details on his blog?  I'm trying to figure out how you weave the subplots into the scene-sequel outline.  It's making my brain hurt.  Any suggestions?  ???
