Hello Weird! It's been a while since I was here last. I didn't forget you guys, it's just that life took over. I had to pretend to be a grown adult while I was away. Let me tell you, it wasn't fun.
The biggest changes that folks who've been here might know:
The biggest changes that folks who've been here might know:
- Spotlette is now 11! She's a fantastic student and gets A+s on everything (except Music, which is a solid A, no +s in sight). She's also been dancing her heart out in ballet and has actually performed on stage for about 4 years now.
- My lovely senior cat, Mocha, aka The Queen of the Known Universe, has crossed the rainbow bridge a few weeks ago. She was a ripe old 18 years of age, and was in kidney failure for the last 2-3 months. She also had heart issues along with severe hip and back leg problems due to arthritis. My poor little sweetheart. We tried to keep her comfortable towards the end, but the last couple of days with her broke my heart. She passed away held in my arms, with Spotlette and Mr. Spot holding a paw each.
- A year and half ago, our neighborhood indoor/outdoor cat had kittens and we adopted one from the litterL Cinder. she's a gray tabby mix with some maine coon in her, as well as a bit of an orange cat gene (aka I've met rocks smarter than her). She's a feisty, spicy, and super mischievous little cat now. Since her mom stopped nursing her around 8 weeks, she loves nursing on her hoomins for comfort. She absolutely adored Mocha (although they used to fight a lot) and it was difficult to get her to start eating and playing again after Mocha passed.
- I'm still a workaholic, but following a serious health issue in 2020, I have started limiting my workdays to 8 hours.
