Clearly this story is post Dresden BAT and and Mister is the sire of all the cats.  (Seriously -what is it with Jim and 30 lb cats)

 :)

I was going to go with all cats being part malk.  Would also support covering all iron with copper which would shield anything fae from the danger.

I'm thinking it's Earth.

Albion would be what was left of England - Olympia would be Greece - Aurora could be several different places, although I'm leaning towards Italy.

The 9th Legion is believed to have gone *poof* a bit before 200 AD(CE) but Christianity didn't become a dominant religion until 400 AD(CE) - it was only a minor religion in the region a century before that - so I'd think it would be unlikely that the 9th Legion would be Judeo-Christian.  The hints of religion and the funeral ceremony smacked of Judeo-Christian and it would seem that the different denominations melded into a single doctrine. Or perhaps each spire has a predominant flavor and Spire Albion would be what became of the Anglican church.

Or maybe not.

Reggie might still be able to make a case - especially if the events of the book are kept as a "classified" event.

There is that.

However, he has another wrinkle.  She was one of the people who saved his second/cousin's life.  Barny may try to talk some sense into him or ask him to drop it all together in deference to that.

If Reggie survived the initial attack, he might show up in a later book.

However, he will no longer be facing the Cat Girl from a dying house.  Now she will have distinguished herself in her duties and may be considered a war hero.  Before he was a bully throwing his weight around without fear of reprisal from anyone else.  Now he may decide to just let it go rather than have others look down on him for pressing a relatively petty concern.

"Where are my dumplings?"

Pretty much anything he says.  He and Folly.

I'm thinking more of Revolution Season 2 David Lyons - where he's more muscle and has a beard - allowed to show his age, too.  He's only 3 years younger than me, which would make him 38, currently.

Sheesh, I've gotten old.

i know he's been mentioned before, but I'm throwing my support behind Billy Burke for Harry.

Taller than average, dark hair, wiry build no can do snark in his sleep. A little old for the first books, perhaps, but Hollywood magic can fix that and he weathers well for when Harry gets battered.

Will you give me David Lyons for Michael? Of is he too pretty?

Yes, Jim now shares the same honor as the mythbusters; woefully under appreciated by the con staff until they see the massive lines queuing up for him.

See? Creepy? Nothing against PIs, mind you; as with any other professions, the good ones do it right and it's a skillset that can be very respected. But the spelling-out of "I was following a person in a place that's all about good fun and HE NEVER KNEW IT" just feels too "muahahahahaaaaaa!" to me. Id est, creepy.
Me?  I'm thinking we need to hire him.  I could use a PI able to keep under the radar.

Unfortunately, none of my folks are in Georgia.

I hit the sack at 2 am, didn't get up until around 9:30 or quarter 'til 10.  Crawled back into bed at noon and didn't rise from the dead until about 4 pm.

Why in the name of all that is holy am I still sleepy?!?!

I blame Aine.  I don't know how, but somehow this is her fault.

And once Trotfox was dressed up as Jareth the Goblin King...in a kilt...and Jennie Breeden starts up the leaf blower, the screams are deafening.  :D

*sigh*  You probably should have sent that Josh kid to come drag my butt out of bed, then.  I would've enjoyed watching that while remaining completely respectful of his wife.

Also, Hilton Reservations are open NOW for next year.  Code: DCN.  Rate is $188 Be aware, I called and double-checked, one night charge to reserve is NON-REFUNDABLE.

Yeah, sadly that's been the Hilton's way for a while now.  Not a bad hotel.  I went up with some fellow-con goers to drop stuff off once and their room was clean and comfortable.  What I've seen of the Hyatt and Marriott rooms were somewhat better.  I don't think any of them had mini-fridges or microwaves.  I don't know why they don't other than they must think they're too upscale for it.  I do appreciate that there are little safes in the Marriott rooms so you can stow away any extra cash, credit cards or valuables you don't feel like lugging around for the day.  I imagine it'd suck if you got too drunk to remember what combination you set, though.

Wow, if you could follow anyone in that clusterfrak, you are the world's best PI.  Only way I could stay with my hubby was to keep a hand on his man-bag.

I ditto this.  Maybe Jim could use you as a reference source.

I wish I had the opportunity to meet Jim at Dragon Con over the weekend, unfortunately I didn't get that chance.  I had wanted to get a Dresden Novel signed along with a Codex Novel.  Believe it or not I am actually a private investigator that was working Dragon Con.  Jim's autograph session happen to fall into the time frame where I wasn't following one of Dragon Con's guest.  But as most people know not many people actually got in to meet and get an autograph from Jim.  They told us to try his panels and that he would try to cut them short for autographs.  Lucky me though, my stalking skills were being used during Jim's panels.  I was just really bummed because he was the only part of Dragon Con that I truly wanted to do, and it happen to fit into the work schedule and still couldn't get it.  Oh well...Hopefully he will come back to Atlanta soon or somewhere close enough for me to drive to.

Always pay attention to your environment!!!

AtlantaP.I.

Wait... am I reading this correctly?  You had to go to DC and work... like... real work?  Do you at least get to have someone else pick up the cost of the con badge?

Okay, I really should be getting dressed and going out to do my grocery shopping so that I have like... food and stuff for the rest of the week, but I'm still TIRED!

Damn you, Aine!  What's the bright idea taking the anti-social hick dancing till all hours of the morning?!?!
