Some of my CC Favs:

Picking up Ghost Story on preview night, Getting Jim to Sign Ghost Story, Giving Jim the $20 I promised from last year, Seeing Jim Laugh at Karen's Comment on the differences between Sgts and Lts, Seeing Jim's (Epic) Panel, Seeing Stan Lee, Getting Stan to sign, Having Emily (Cousin) for a day, Family Guy + Panels. Was lucky enough to get to see at comic con

Most people I met in SD and at CC are nice and friendly
XMAN Panel

Not so CC FAVs

I was most disappointed that Comic Con / Penguin did not have enough Jim Events, but it was great to see my favorite author  ;D
The 9 hour drive to and from CC / Bay Area
Standing in line for hours and hours
High prices for mostly bad food

Will post some photos / videos after I get back from FLA next week.

If anyone wants to meet up for events or food ... this is our 2nd comic con ... wear good standing shoes and bring water as the lines for events can be 3+ hours ... this will be fun  :)

Driving down from the Bay Area for the Wed pre show and staying though to Monday. (Last year I missed the Brown-coat event on Sunday)  ???

Wishing for a Jim B event but if not I still save a brand new $20 bill (or slightly used one) maybe a change jar considering the cost of the rooms :>

Last year at SDCC 2010, I and my wife both had to provide Driver Licenses (CA) that they scanned in along with Visa CC as part of buy tickets for this year.

I understand they do it in part to prevent ticket scalpers.

A friend works CC in the Gaming Area. (Yes they have a few rooms for Role Playing and Board Games at CC).

I wonder if Jim will run a game at CC :> That would be a great party !

Sorry you did not get tickets .. I know they release some later in the year .. best of luck if you try

Comic con tickets and rooms are a pain. Last year I could only get 2 single day tickets and was lucky enough to have some friends that work for comic con and they helped out. I hope to move to a closer hotel as my current one is 3 miles away .. thank dresden they have shuttles. (last year was less than 1 mile so could walk)

One trick I found out was comic con has a group in Linkedin and an Comic con RSS feed for events .. but it seems the release day for tickets is always iffy .. and the room booking for me at least is always difficult.

Once you get into comic con you can buy next year 4 day with preview at the con. (paying in advance for next years event)
