I was sort of inspired by Shinto for the idea, but I really did not want to make this particular character have that faith, as she is of Scandinavian extraction.  "Animus" fits pretty well for what I had in mind.  She can speak to most objects, but can really only manipulate/coerce those that DO something.  For example she could use a divination under this theme to ask a shattered wall what broke through it,  but could not use it to break the wall.  She might be able to make a door not accept its key, but could not permanently seal it.  She could find out what an IOP does, but if she does not meet the requirements to use it, she could not just make it work for her.

I am trying to think of a good name for a style of Thematic Thaumaturgy.  It is used by a Wizard Smith to speak to the spirits of things.  For example, she could use a ritual to convince a bank vault door to open instead of blasting it open, speak with the spirit of an Item Of Power to better understand its powers and purpose, or start a car without a key or needing to hotwire it.

If a character has self sponsored magic, such as superior pyromancy, do they still need channeling or ritual on their sheet, or does the superior pyromancy replace those powers?

I am going to be playing a Scion of Thor who has Thor's belt, which doubles the strength of the wielder.  In practical terms it give you the next Strength power up from what you have.  If my Scion has Inhuman Strength without the belt, how would I cost the Item of Power refresh?  Would I only need to pay the difference of 2 refresh to get Supernatural Strength, or would I be paying full cost on top of my Inhuman Strength?

I am considering running a character with the aspect Thaumaturgic Tattoo Artist.  I was wanting to get some input on what might be possible with crafting foci and enchanted items using tattoos.  Should it be possible to have a forearm tattoo as a defensive focus, or to use a tattoo behind your ear to boost hearing?

Would it be possible to use a group of people standing in a circle holding hands as a Thaumaturgy Circle?  I was thinking using the lowest Conviction rating out of the lot as the strength.  Thoughts?
