Just noticed that Prove Guilty Mysteries isn't in here. Been going through my Emporium to make sure all the links got migrated.

(Sidenote-- Serack, I did think of an answer to your Two Mantles Problem with regard to the Time Travel Harry theory, you know besides my Unstuck Harry theory. In The Flash, the Speedforce can only be claimed by one speedster per universe. We see this with Jay Garrick this season on the show, which reminded me of that arcana. The Mantles might work the same way: with Lloyd Slate holding the Mantle, Future Harry will have to do without.)

Also missing is The Starborn Conspiracy, and The Lady and the Knight, which is lost forever. That latter was post about Venus, Adonis, and the Goddess's Champion.

Could you also please unlock my Emporium so I can archive my Thor=Vaderrung and Faith=Free Will Gifting posts somewhere they won't eventually be eaten?

Been watching Breaking Bad lately, so I'd like to throw in Bryan Cranston as Victor Sells or Dean Norris as Carmichael.

Also finished up The Wire, and think Dominic West would have been a great Harry ten years ago. Lance Reddick as Sanya, and Sonja Sohn as Tera West.

Michelle Gomez as the Mothers (rounding out my Fairy Queen dream cast with Robin Wright as the Queens and Tatiana Maslany as the Ladies).

And so naturally I can't believe it hasn't come up, Erick Avari as Rashid.

Damn on that last one. I was sure MM Marcone would give it to DF Harry.

Jim lies with all the gusto of the Fae.

His exact words were that we haven't seen Mac do anything a human couldn't do.

65
Mac being present is just wrong. He's a minor character, has only brought cases to Harry in the short stories, and isn't seen outside his bar in the novels. His presence as more than background, as more than the proprietor of his bar, is fundamentally wrong.

And yet, Cold Days goes nowhere with this. Mac is dragged to the foreground, then shot by Maeve, then he sinks back into the ensemble.

Grigori, Archangel, ex-Knight of Winter... whatever he is, what might he have done if Maeve hadn't shot him?

Or, and maybe this is the real point of his being there, his getting shot is as fundamentally wrong as his getting dragged into the main plot. Perhaps it was all to highlight how subversive a Nemesis agent is to the narrative. Nothing is safe, etc., etc.

66
Lovecraft was a teetotaler. He was loquacious. We have millions of words set down in personal correspondence. This doesn't fit Mac.

I rate this Lovecraft theory zero shoggies.

Desert-ed island.   :P

Less tongue-in-cheek reply is: misunderstanding of the word.

"English desert and its Romance cognates (including Italian and Portuguese deserto, French désert and Spanish desierto) all come from the ecclesiastical Latin dēsertum (originally "an abandoned place")"

... I'll buy it. I guess. Still thinking Grigori, though.

68
So how is Demonreach Island a desert?

69
I think Jim wanted to introduce a little more about Mac, and used the attack on the bar, as well as the healing factor later, to do so. However, I think Jim just couldn't extricate Mac easily from the plot once he was involved.

So, Mac Watched the climax.

After watching some Death in Paradise on the 'Flix, I'd like to recommend Ben Miller for Chandler.

For what it's worth, Prince of Air and Darkness is also a title for Satan. Discovered that reading either The Penguin Book of Witches or Spirit of the New England Tribes. My money's on the latter, because it explicitly states that this title is what caused the Puritans to conflate Hobbamock, the Wampanoag spirit of air and darkness (and the god of magic/shamans) with the devil.
