In her Women of the Otherworld series Kelley Armstrong first introduced the werewolves, the only supernaturals in book 1. The were's introduction to the larger supernatural society (Vamps, Witches, Half-demons etc.) constitute part of the plot for book 2.
It's a viable technique, and helps avoid introducing too much information to remember at any one time.

OpenOffice can open Word files, but Word can't open OpenOffice. Though I think it has an 'export as .pdf' option.

Harry was one of the more popular candidates in a "who would make a good crossover charachter" at Kelley's forum. Someone made a strong recommendation and shortly after that the TVseries appeared on youtube. (Hasn't been aired in my part of the world yet...)

I think I read much of the then-published series in a row after that, but the details are foggy. Somehow I managed to be on Dead Beat when Many Bloody Returns was published...

The way this is presented on the main page made me assume it was a comic book, not a novel.
This could be a flaw on my part but otherwise perhaps something should be done to rectify the situation?
