DF Spoilers / Re: What's Up With Marcone?
« on: March 29, 2018, 09:09:34 PM »
The only WOJ we have on it only says that both Harry and Elaine had the potential to be Starborn, and that for that purpose their birthdays (a few months apart) were close enough which ruled out Harry's Halloween birthday being significant.  Nowhere has it been said there are more, let alone millions.
The crazy thing is, around the KC signing when I was more active I either read or listened to a ton of Woj I can no longer seem to locate... If i'd known it would become so scarce i'd have done more to preserve what i'd found. Honestly though there are tidbit's in old, old links already transcribed the original scribe had seen no importance to but which I did. I doubt that's one of them of course, but i'd never, ever had trouble with woj before that time period.
* I even thought griff had made a thread on it, but I could be confusing that with his statistical thing on wikifandom.

No, but if it's so important, you'd think it would make some kind of difference worth noting.Literally anything at all.  If being Starborn doesn't ruin his vanillaness, then there's no point in him being one.

Plus, there's the whole "they're rare" thing going on, on the scale of one per several centuries as far as we know.
No, actually per woj there's millions of them, most simply lack any disconcernable power to leverage as Harry does. The most unique thing about them is they are ordinary it seems. Being so ordinary I think most really never encounter heavy supernatural events/personages. Marcone dispite being ordinary, does. Look at the private relations he's had with both Odin and now Mab, he has influence, strike that. He IS influence.

Also, being a Starborn is the kind of thing you might think comes up in a soulgaze.
Cause we'd know what to look for would we?(or Harry the perspective gazer)
Funny thing is besides the naming, what do you THINK a starborn can do that would ruin his 'vanillaniss"?
Cause honestly... between Harry's confrontation with Hwwb4 and the one with MW i'm thinking Starborn simply means a 'prime' personality amongst the stars. So if we think about reality as nothing more than 'Gods' mind and Outsiders as the invading consciousness we get a pretty good mock up for how the War actually is. I mean it's not like Earth has a literal dark Planet Named Nemesis that is supposed to come around and cause apocalyptic scale destruction or anything...(yes, we do!)
TWG/C is our Aeon.

One of the things I always wanted to see was some of the minor-league talents showing up as villains. Ones on Agent Tilly's scale—he was a living lie detector, for example. Basically, I'd like a villain who has an extremely narrow talent, but has learned to adapt that talent and employ it to devastating effect.

DF Spoilers / Re: Faerie Queens Full(?) List

Yea, I feel its an over assumption to say that means anything befell the Mothers themselves in that quote.
I'm of the mind though, When MS originally abdicated it was Father Summer/Dagda archetype that changed literally when TWC/G came down in mortal form. There's a woj that the lesser mantles will begin to change the higher up mantles in the court, but if the higher ups change the lesser are directly effected. Hecate and TWG played musical chairs about 2k years ago methinks, and we got the female courts from that change.

From what I gathered there were six souls that took the Queen mantles to include Mother Winter.  So, I do believe even she was mortal once.
That's gather from what exactly? Everything we have on MW implies she was never human.

DF Books / Re: Magical Tattoos
« on: March 18, 2018, 06:11:26 PM »
I disagree one could have a reservoir within a tattoo. From what we've see of the spell put upon his staff it had one reservoir because it was one whole object. The rings actually had separate enchanted pieces loosely bound together through a twine. I predict doing such a thing with a tat would place the reserve source upon the one already present, your own life force. Breaking it down into more is not a simple matter of redoing the spell it would seem...

Snip:
But, raidem, that's part of the whole deal. Merlin is an uberWizard, so far beyond that even Bob can't totally grasp what happened. It's quantum physics magic: if you understand it, you really don't understand it.
Speak for yourself.

Hey. Let him go there with the Christ/AntiChrist and see if I buy any more of his books.  There are other ways to get the books rather than buy them.
Stop reading now ;o Harry is the Anti-Christ along with a few others whom are sharing the shadow form. Want one tiny, teeny, bitty point of proof beyond all the other stuff I've mentioned?(plus theorized at by others)
Slouching: a lazy, drooping posture or movement.

DR 'slouches' now doesn't he lol? The limp is inherited from there.
If you really feel that strongly about it Rai, I warn you now,  you will be highly disappointed... It's not like Jim was gonna mesh all the apocali together and not put the AC in the Christian portion... Not really sure why you have such a problem with that one particular aspect anyway, did Damian and the Omen offend you so?

It really is a horrible idea. It's a great way to ostracize a great many of fans dabbling with the Antichrist in his fiction.  Now, if you wanted it to summon the devil.  That would be good, but leave Christ/AntiChrist out of it.
I guess he better stop quoting Yeat's the second coming and making it an integral part of the story then lol? (or making these 'peace' talks 7 years before the end of the Bat, with it's kickoff 3.5 years in)

Then came out of the earth the black spirits of earth, mouldy and shadowy, and full of dim rumours picked up in caverns beneath forgotten sea-bottoms.
If your boned up on seeing the tie-ins and cross overs(instead of insisting your seeing what you want to) you may notice that's a reference to Cowl and his portals/where they go, as well as that moldy 'aura' in general.

Going to go with the vague idea Outsiders and Angels are not so different in their original formation. Look at the Naaglooshi, now worthy of DR but originally an angelic being outright.
Thinking it revolves around stars themselves and their inherent shadows.(those who stand in the light....) Mayhaps stars themselves are 'immortals' and those that go dark are still 'remembered by the universe' via emptiness/shadow itself... which would make a good point towards empty night I think...

Bonnie likely see's more of existence than Bob does being born from angelic roots, she probably see's the 'faith-length' and it's attributes easier. Like space/time...

Just to add fuel to this particular Frre, that room of the "Least" in the Well, Alfred said it's Purpose was for "“MEMORY. REFLECTION.”

So what if:
Memory:Reflection::Memory:Thought::Huginn:Muninn
I like it, but as we have both the 'bird-brains' elsewhere I'm not sure I see a signifigence beyond another layer in the metastory.(like Archive being a strange combo of the two... cousins? lol)
