In honor of Harry's birthday, we're organizing a meet up @ Four Provinces Restaurant in Falls Church, VA on Sunday October 30, 2011.  Come join us for brunch @ 11:30am.  Go to the Facebook page and ask to join MAHD--once joined you'll see the event and can RSVP.  After we  have a headcount I'll call the restaurant and reserve a table under the name Harry Dresden! Yeah!  I think the FB group will be a good place to let each other know about fun Cons in the area...like Star Trek etc esp those that JB is attending! 

We were talking about coordinating meetings every other month or so, coordinating book release parties, coordinating meet-ups at book signings, so to make that a bit easier, I created a group on Facebook called "Mid Atlantic Harry Dresden Fans".  For now it's a "closed" group b/c it's specifically aimed at JB Forum members in the Mid Atlantic to use to coordinate and communicate about local fan-dom activities!  If you want to join the group, go to the page and click on the "join" or whatever the button is called and I'll get a request and approve you!  It's not to substitute for the forum, but a quick way to communicate to a targeted geographic demographic of Harry fans!

Going off topic, I made the Blackberry-Android switch in March after having a Blackberry for three years.  Absolutely LOVE my Android phone!

You beat me to it.  I was just signing in to suggest the same thing.  I second the choice and agree that the combo of parking ease and that ComicCon goers won't have to move cars makes this an ideal choice.  View is great.  What you say our great leader makes a reservation for us under name "Harry Dresden"?
