Just finished the NaNo 50,000 words. Actual wordcount is now at 56,667.

I've also hit the 50,000 word mark in the NaNo -- right now, it's 50,220 words.

11,400+ words on my NaWriNoMo attempt this year. I'm trying to frontload my attempt, in case I can't get the time later on in the month (Which is what happened last year.....) So, I'm trying for 2,000 -- 2,500 word/day. So far, so good....

Art & Game design will be lagging behind slightly as SASS was originally conceived for authors*; as such, the board is made up of authors and the artists and the game designers have not joined as yet...but it is open to them! We'll structure those sections as more join.

*Originally SASF, and as such you'll occasionally see language in docs that says "fiction" instead of "storytelling."

Hey, all my fiction that's been published has been set in a Gaming universe!  :)

I came across this blog via a link on the Passive Voice Blog (http://www.thepassivevoice.com) In this entry, the blogger lists several paid/free editing software that you might find useful. The post is at http://virginiaripple.com/paid-and-free-editing-software/ I've  tried the two free ones, and while they won't replace a human editor, they should help eliminate some of the more obivious problems.

I have been writing for easily 10 years, probably more.  I haven't gotten anything published yet--still working on that part.  But I do have a website with some short stories and a novel that my husband and I wrote together.  www.gorthus.com  I am considering e-publishing, but I need to have cover art which costs more than I can afford right now.

You could always do the covers yourself....I would start here: http://www.thebookdesigner.com/.

words are hitting the page

Be careful the words don't hit back --- some paragraphs have wicked right hooks!  ;)

that project I was working on --- 72,000+ words and still not quite finished. Sent an Email asking for another day to finish it up, as it was due today. Now I'm wondering if the guy asking for it (Assistant line developer for the gaming line) will either be impressed or think I need Professional help..... :P
