There was a thread in Angst that was pretty active, called "I need help", and between the time I went to bed at midnight and logged in at 8am, it had disappeared. Is this a weird site thing, or did y'all deliberately remove it?

Go to your profile, and click on "Forum Profile Information". It'll bring up the place where you can edit your avatar, and if you scroll down, you'll see a box for signature. The only rule I'm aware of is you have 300 characters, so whatever you want to say can't go over that. I assume they'd prefer that it not be profane.

Sometimes, silliness isn't appropriate or annoys people. There are enough threads for silliness, eg weird, that I see no need to disrupt ordinary threads with it, or to PM people for no particular reason.
It's annoying and if someone politely asks you stop, then that should be the end of it.
Nope. I'm merely trying to be helpful, that's all.

If you go in to edit your profile, there's a link for Personal Messge options. If you click on that you'll see that you have an Ignorelist. All you have to do is put the names of people you'd rather not get PMs from and you won't. I've never used it, but I assume it works.
