Title: Space saving?
Post by: gemstone on May 13, 2008, 12:46:59 PM
Would it be possible to remove some of the older "sticky" threads that are not really relevant anymore or combine them with others, to make more room on page 1 of the boards?  Sometimes there is barely room left for new threads and moving to page 2 is often the 'kiss of death' for a thread... :-\

Don't know if it would save space or not, but I think "questions for Jim should have its own board".  It is certainly a  mega topic.

Which sticky threads do you feel are no longer relevant?

Well, some are topic lists that haven't been updated in a very long time.  The reading list in the "Book Club"  is, I think, somewhat out of date.  Also some of the topics related to "spoilery" could be combined into one.  Things like that.  The topic list in "Spoilers" hasn't been updated since 1/07, so it may have lost some relevance.  No offense intended, just seems like it could be condensed a bit. Maybe there could be one FAQ board or sticky topic.

I noticed that the moderator of the book club board has not been active since 9/07!  Is that even being used as a book club or is it really just general chat that might be considered "Spoilers" and more appropriate to that board?

The Topics List, whike outdated is still relevant. The author has a life and the boards are very popular. (tho on the subject, the 2 recent threads on Backup ougta be merged. Theyre basicaly the same thing.)
