Title: Oblivion
Post by: Yuillegan on May 20, 2020, 04:33:11 AM
We actually know what it is...at least in a sense. Lasciel tells of it in Dead Beat.

No sight, sound, or senses.

It's the only description in the books or otherwise we have.

Yeah, but is it just the same word as the Oblivion War or is it the same oblivion? I tend to think it's just the same word.

If I'm wrong, then the Outsiders are not victims of the Oblivion War. Which is much more interesting than if I'm right.

the condition or state of being forgotten or unknown

Probably, but it would make it interesting if it is connected.

One thing that also adds weight is Jim's comment about Titans - they were destroyed, locked up or consigned to Oblivion. This makes me think that Oblivion is a specific punishment more than just obliteration.

Morris, your definition I believe adds weight.

The outsiders are not forgotten. Humans summon them and you need a name for that.
