Didn't he have sunlight in a napkin in one of the earlier books? But is unable to cast it again because he needs to be truly happy or something like that? Think we will ever see it again as a symbol that he's happy? Maybe by thinking of his daughters?

I could buy it. Emotionally speaking he's a lot better off than he was back then, or even since CD. Everything changed for him when he actually accepted the title of Dad.
Now, he might not be able to do it every day (he's not as blissfully ignorant as he once was), but on his Good Days he should be able to reach a similar bliss-quotient.

Nah, I still don't think he's in the "zone" yet. He has to be quite the little ray of sunshine.
Maybe in the theorized period of peace, before the BAT. I'd like to see Mavra kick it this way.

I'm not sure that being the Winter Knight will help with him casting a Sunlight spell rooted in true happiness. He was miserable on the island, and he's only got a few weeks before Peace Talks. And undoubtedly something bad will happen to him, or someone he loves, by those are over.

In Storm Front Harry had the sunshine hanky.. After Susan's death, I can't remember who asked him, but Harry replied for him to acquire one again he'd have to be truly happy and obviously he hadn't been since Susan died. Perhaps having Maggie with him now he may find true happiness again, so I think it is possible in the future he may.

I think that Jim realized the sunlight hanky was a little OP when he decided that the Red Court would be a major recurring threat. That scene with Bianca is pretty early in the first book, and I think Jim started the outline after he had written a good chunk of Storm Front. (By the way, don't Google "Storm Front" if you're on a shared computer; it's evidently a neo-Nazi organization or website or something, and it's probably not a good thing to have in your search history if your company checks that stuff).
