Title: Can fairies get pregnant?
Post by: flying peach on October 20, 2017, 07:19:31 PM
This has probably been asked before, but hey I don't remember it.

If fairies can get pregnant, what are the chances Harry knocked up Mab?

Yes, they can get pregnant.
Mab is Maeve, Sarissa's biological Mother.
Titania, it appears, is Aurora's biological Mother.

See Mother Summer:
The Fae are all part mortal. Evidently they all/most have children with mortals (that includes animals I assume.)

I think it would be a little kitschy for Harry to have three children of different species. Between Maggie and Bonnie I think he has enough on his plate

I don't think the stone table ritual was sufficient for that due to being an out-of-body experience for him, but I suppose Mab could always force Harry to repeat it physically if she wanted to.

So it's theoretically possible, but unlikely to happen from a story perspective. Harry is busy enough with the kids that he has, and I doubt that Mab has any interest in carrying our Friendly neighborhood Wizards spawn to term- she's got him firmly under thumb already, no need to take a baby hostage as extra leverage for now.

I honestly believe that Titania has another daughter that was the twin to Aurora. Mab and Titania were twins and one had twins; so, why not the other? Plus, it would work with the tendency of three faes. Three in each court.

that's definitely possible, but also that as a changeling, she chose to be human ages ago and as such would not be part of any plot line.

Sarissa didn't pop up until BK14. I would say if Aurora had a twin; we might have already seen her.

Also Maeve was trying to get Harry to knock up Jenny so she could have his first born kid.

Of course, I doubt Harry was supposed to survive that encounter because drowning her lovers or would-be lovers was Jenny Greenteeth's modus operandi, but Harry might have lasted long enough to get the job done, so to speak.

Winter's drive per short story with Molly is to have children for the fight on the Wall.  So, I suspect Jenny Greenteeth wouldn't have killed Harry until after she was pregnant barring Nemesis infection altering Maeve commands.

Harry has had alot of interaction with the Fae. Rashid as well. I wonder how many wizards interact with the Fae on a regular basis and how many of them might have had "intimate encounters" with the Fae? Would there be a more than a few wizard/Fae offspring?

I have a feeling that wizards are less likely than average mortals to fall for it. I think that the Fae use glamours too much, and wizards are on their guard around them and avoid dealing with them if at all possible. Does that make sense?

I'm sure there are some, because, hey, freaky awesome faerie sex.
