So I'm running a game where winter temperatures are a big factor.
Question:
Do toughness powers/armour protect you from exposure/environmental damage?
Let's say you're a fairy with a catch of iron, are you more resistant to cold?
I'd allow recovery powers to heal it up quicker...but actually protect you? thoughts?

If you think about it in a fractal way, then the environment is merely another character attacking you, so the toughness applies to the attack, as long as the catch isn't met.
A toughness power means you are generally tougher, the armor and additional stress is the mechanical representation, just as the environmental attack is the mechanical representation of the danger of the environment, it doesn't (usually) have a mind of its own to actually be an attack.

Yes.
Says right there in the power description, "all physical stress".
Not sure what you mean about Recovery.

He means that if you were to take a consequence from a harsh environment, like "Dehydrated" or "Frostbitten", recovery powers would allow that consequence to recover quicker.

Yes, of course they would.

Sanctaphrax, as usual, has it right

In the novels, there's many instances where Harry notes that he's freezing even in his leather duster while some of his companions (Thomas mainly) are seemingly unaffected while wearing only light clothing.
