Title: What you put in a GM screen?
Post by: tetrasodium on March 04, 2012, 07:20:35 AM
I got a spiffy 4 panel GM screen that lets me slide printouts into both front & back of each of the 4 panels (4 player facing, 4 GM facing).  I have some ideas about 2 of the 4 GM facing panels, bt not sure about the player facing ones

I would say the quick reference sheets included in your story and possibly a map of whatever city the game takes place in.

Player side:
1. Picture of local landmark
2. Picture of BBEG
3. Picture of LBEG
4. Picture of local landmark

GM side
1. Time increment table
2. Magic "cheat-sheet"
3. List of Faces
4. List of Locations

How I'd do it, if I ever actually used a GM screen.

I made my own screen, and I opted not to waste the space by showing portraits and illustrations, but instead to have quick reference sheets:

One for evocation and thaumaturgy specifically.

One for identifying, and using aspects.

A listing of zones, time scales, and the difficulty ladder.

I stumbled across this thread http://www.superbuddies.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=9111&start=760 & found some really well fitting pictures of comic book character amalgamations for player facing ones.  Sure some of them are still silly spandex tights, but a lot of them aren't :)
