Hello Everyone,
If my character were to have Sponsored Magic (Place of Power) at -3, making the powers tied to the place, would any enchanted item I created be only useable at that location? I figure that performing the ritual at the place of power would imbue the item with the locations power and then make it portable, which then seems to work against the discount.
If anyone can clarify this it would be greatly appreciated.

:Considering you could have also gotten Rituals Crafting and Refinement for the same refresh cost, and doing so would have let you produce enchanted items away from the place of power (and ones that aren't thematically bound to the place of power), it doesn't seem problematic to me.

Meh, it's not that broken to be able to take them with you. Ritual (crafting or thematic) and refinement would give you the same, for the same cost (as GryMor posted while I was typing). I'd allow it (but would possibly compel the hell out of you).

It's actually not the same cost (Sponsored magic: Places of power is -3 refresh), but it doesn't seem like an issue to me. I'd still allow it.

It really is the same cost. Rituals is -2, Refinement is -1, together that is -3.
For -3 with 4 item slots (that can go into enchanted items) you have 3 options
Rituals (crafting), Refinement - No restriction on the items, but no casting
Rituals (theme), Refinement - Thematic restriction on the items, but thematic thaumaturgy
Sponsored Magic: Place of power - Thematic restriction on the items, but thematic thaumaturgy and evocation while at the place of power.
All seem like viable tradeoffs.
