I am finally starting up our DF-game next week and it could be useful to get some ideas about where I could take the story. I put the summary of the current situation as a spoiler. The cast of characters is a Changeling, a Wizard, a WCV and a Worldwalker.
The games main villain is a group of ancient wizards, that is calling themself "The Dutchmen" as they are the one that originally bought Manhattan from the local indians back in the mid 1600's. "The Dutchmens" main goal is, as I imagine it, going to become a Freeholding Lord and crush all opposition along the way. "The Dutchmen" have a strong hate for the White Council, as those were the one that defeated them and forced them to hand Manhattan over to the English several hundreds of years ago. The old enemies of "The Dutchmen", the local indians, are also present but they are scattered and are to be seen as more of 'good guys' (as they stood up against the "The Dutchmen" until they had to give up. Another force of power, unknown to all but the indians and the "The Dutchmen", is a powerful being that is trapped underneath the lower part of Manhattan (it was trapped by the indians, but the underground trap got damaged during the 9/11 attacks). The creature is slowly waking up, which makes the indians afraid (as they know how hard the Being is the defeat) - "The Dutchmen" also realizes that the Being is waking up, but hope to be able to use it as part of their own plan.
In our game, the White Council have a weak hold of New York, with a newly appointed Warden and one of the player characters as more or less the only Wizards in the area.
The Red Court is getting stronger and there is also a small group of White Court Vampires as well as an even smaller group of Black Court Vampires. The WCV is a small group from House Malvora, that feeds of fear created by secret "death games" as well as instigating horrible crimes to increase the general level of fear in the city.
My initial idea is that the Red Court is supposed to infiltrate parts of the city which holds political power, to facilitate a larger group of RCV's to move from South America to the USA (that is more of a long-term goal, though).
