Title: Half-killing a Scion
Post by: ways and means on September 02, 2011, 08:06:49 PM
In my game a scion of an jinn ended up being half killed by a long range thaurmaturgy the reason he wasn't completely killed was because the sympathetic link used for the spell was off him in his Jinn form (this was a concession vs character death) and so only killed off his Jinn form.  Other than putting the character into the pure mortal category does any have any ideas what other concequences being half-killed might cause.

An aspect change would be involved, obviously.

Beyond that I have no idea. Memory loss might be appropriate, I suppose. Maybe a personality change resulting from the loss of inhuman instincts.

Extreme consequence: insert appropriate one

Aspect change to go with it.

Quest to rekindle powers or gain new ones as part of the narrative and sub plot for character.

Thus removing the need for extreme consequence and aspect change.

Thanks that was useful high concept change and an extreme consequence which can be gotten rid of at the next milestone (him finding a new source of power).
