Title: DFRPG Cheat Sheet - input requested
Post by: devonapple on January 06, 2011, 05:45:06 PM
There is already a 4-page, very concise cheat sheet for DFRPG out on the Internet (functionally only 2-3 pages):
http://hammerand.com/goldenh/DFRPG%20cheat%20sheet.pdf

There is also a fine 2-page printable quick reference sheet from the back of Your Story:

I'm looking to create a one-page cheat sheet with just the most commonly needed and/or most confusing rules items which all the players would need - something to hand to a player at a convention and say "here are the rules."

What would you, as GMs and players, advocate be on such a cheat sheet?
Is there already a great one-page FATE cheat sheet that can be slightly modified for DFRPG?

For spellcasters and magic, one could simply hand a player page 2 from the above-referenced document. But we could probably make a streamlined cheat sheet for that, too. What would be your thoughts on that sheet? The Evil Hat site for DFRPG has a link to a fan-created one-page spellcasting cheat sheet here:

FYI your link is bad. doesn't take me anywhere.

That's unfortunate. It is a functional link, so I'm not sure what I can do to address the issue.

It's a pdf; most security software, like NoScript, won't let it display automatically; I was able to see it fine once I allowed the page.

As for a more streamlined cheat sheet, do what my students do: write in small type, with concise sentences and keep it well organized (Magic, Combat, Consequences, etc).

However, I think that the two-page cheat sheet at the back of Your Story is already pretty workable, and it's available from the RPG site: http://www.dresdenfilesrpg.com/downloads/

That one is pretty nice. I'm still shooting for a one-pager. Maybe I should be focusing more on a 1-page cheat sheet of tactical guidelines, summarizing some of the less obvious strategies to use in the game.

So, a literal "cheat sheet", then?   ;D :D ::)

On the spellcastering.pdf it says that 1 shift of a block converts to an Armor 1 effect. Isn't it every 2 shifts equal an Armor 1?

That sheet has some flaws, unfortunately. I may simply edit/update the information into a new handout.

Ok thanks, I was hopeful but alas...

Has anyone created a landscape formatted quick reference sheet?  I have the three panel Savage World customizable screen and it requires landscape format inserts.
