Title: Aspect Help
Post by: Stormraven on July 21, 2010, 10:54:58 PM
Hi, folks.  I'm playing in a PbP game elsewhere, and need a little help.

I have an aspect that's been approved, but I want it to pop more than it does.  The character's an Evocation Prodigy - Invoke for bonuses to Evocation Power, Compel to use more power than is wise, basically.

Like I say, it's been approved, but I'm wondering if there isn't a more Fuego way to say it.  Thoughts?

How about Crackling With Power, or Inferno At My Fingertips, or Maelstrom Thrumming Under My Skin?

As always, I suggest adding a few more descriptors to the base phrase as a staring point. That gives us things like;
-Reckless Evocation Prodigy
-Timid Evocation Prodigy
-Infamous Evocation Prodigy

For more wide scale changes I think;
-Flood of Power
-Destruction Comes Easy
-I Am Mystic Artillery
-Needs More Dakka
-Kali's Favorite Subject

All very nice aspects.  Thanks for the input.  I can definitely see lots of compels for many of them.  I'll probably run one or two of them past the GM.

Borrowed God's Smite Button

I like this one quite a bit.  If I ever make a hotheaded Champion of God, I might have to borrow this.  My contributions:

WIZARDRAGE, BITCH!
I'm A Powerjunkie
INFINITE POWAH!!!  (You must do a Palpatine impression when you invoke this.  It's an unwritten rule.)

Wizard of Mass Destruction
The Heavy Artillery/The Big Gun

Or

Subtlety isn't a strong point.
I don't do wimp magic.

Or

This one is REALLY gonna hurt
Time to bring out the big guns
The kid gloves are off!

You almost owed me a new laptop.  You know not to post things like that when there is a good possibility that I will read them while taking a drink!

Your focus item would have to be a sword. :p

since you're relatively new to the forums, heres a pice of advice.

Never, and I mean N E V E R, read the forums and take a drink at the same time.
It'll help to save on cleaning bills and new Keyboards, trust me.

But honestly... you've read Jim's books... you should have known what could happen if you broke the Drink&Read rule... :P

Cetra02 is one of my players.  I can charge him for the laptop... or start giving him compels until his character is wondering why bad things just keep happening to him.

Also, strictly speaking, I haven't read any of the books except the RPG ones.  James Marsters FTW.
