It mentions it comes in two varieties - magic and faith based. How would you handle these?

Yep. Though Faith may involve it as a short-handed thing, just straight up proclaimin' and testifyin' with a Conviction roll, whereas magic might get there via the whole spell effect in shifts thing (conveniently, where the power available is tied to the caster's conviction, too).
