who do i have to buy from to get said map?
-
I think I'll buy the last book of the series before I buy the second book just so I can have a map.
Is that weird?

Will there be another signed copy pre-order of Princep's Fury as there was with Small Favor?

That's the plan. Haven't seen specific info yet from Dog-Eared Books, but haven't heard to the contrary, either.
-
I dropped by Dog-Eared books as soon as I saw Priscellie's annouoncement of the release date to get my name on the list.
Tina said she hadn't tallked to Jim yet to set a date for the Virtual signing.

Awesome!! Because...well...I'm pretty sure it would be frowned upon to bring my ENTIRE collection of JB books to the next signing. At least this way there are 2 less ;)

Bring 'em. Depending on the line and how tired Jim does or does not look, it may be a possibility. Until decision time arrives, how many books you carry around depends on you. :)

Blackwolf - I'm hangin' in there - keeping busy, catching up with family and old friends, gradually getting my house organized & sorted, figuring out what to do with a lot of Bob's stuff, making paper, weaving some baskets, reading a lot, savoring the good memories, returning to the JB Forum.... Doing okay most of the time. Thanks for asking. Hugs.
Shecky - MEGAHUGS back atcha!
Eagerly awaiting the new book!

Hi I've mentioned this elsewhere but Amazon UK have the Hardback edition of FLF listed as unavailable.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/First-Lords-Fury-Codex-Alera/dp/044101769X/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1255533471&sr=8-2
Is there something wrong with the UK publisher? I don't want to have to buy the paperback edition as I'd like to complete my hadcover set, although I usually also buy the ebook version. Does anyone have any news on this please?
-
Does "unavailable" in the Amazon UK context simply mean "it hasn't been released yet"?
-
It looks like Amazon UK doesn't seem to know the book's not been released yet. It has Changes listed for preorder and that it hasn't been released. I've seen in the past that when they don't seem to know what they're doing, they put that not available/not in stock message.
-
I was just looking at this on Amazon; is that price correct? $9.00 for either the hardback or Kindle version?

Yes. Grab it while the price wars are still going on.

Preordered it for my Kindle. Will buy the hardback when it's released from Borders.

Why does this page http://www.jim-butcher.com/books/alera/ (http://www.jim-butcher.com/books/alera/) now say December 2009? I've been looking around for a bit and haven't found any other reference to December.

Probably a leftover from when it was thought FLF would be released in December.

I don't see for order or a release date yet for the audio book version? Did I miss something?

November 25th, the day after the hardcover comes out. You can pre-order it from Amazon via the Jim-Butcher.com store here (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0143145207/iagonet)!
I also have word that Dog-Eared Books is definitely doing a virtual signing for FLF! They should have the preorder page up within the next few days. I'll link to it when it's available.

It has to be a mistake. Nice to imagine, though!

I'm not so sure, that's the British edition, and with the last release, European readers got their copies at least a couple of weeks before it hit the shelves here in the USA.

that just doesn't seem right on so many levels. No offense to Europe but.........

I thought it was the american version, due to the publisher being Ace Books and the front cover, the british version (http://www.bookdepository.com/book/9781841498515/First-Lords-Fury) is a paperback coming next year as far as I know
-
IIRC, it was someone in Stockholm that got Princeps' Fury at the first of November last year.
-
Hey guys,
I'm not sure if you have explored this far but there is a map thread in the Alera Spoilers section. Has been for 3 years. We have maps there tied to each book in the series. The first post of the thread has links for all the maps and links to zip files of the first iteration of the map thread. The thread that's there now, is the second iteration.

I know where to find book three in HB for less than 10 bucks.
I'm not a reader of it yet, but I saw it locally.

There will definitely be one. We're just waiting for Dog-Eared Books to post a pre-order page!
-
I'll drop by Dog-Eared Books tomorrow when i'm out and about and ask Tina about it.
-
That would be wonderful! Thanks, Bert!

I love your signature. Can I buy him? I have $35. I'll take care of him.....

I'll offer you $100. I need a boyfriend. ;)

Hmm...competition I see... *glare*

I'm afraid the seller met with an untimely demise, and Harry Dresden is no longer for sale. :(

That doesn't mean I wouldn't want him to be my boyfriend ;)

Priscellie and all -
I saw Tina at Dog Eared Books today and asked her about the virtual signing for FLF. She says it will be on the release day - Tuesday November 24th. She will ask Jim to be there from 4 to 6 pm.
Tina also apologizes for the delay in getting the Order Page up and running. Her Computer Person is changing computers and hasn't gotten the software transferred yet. She hopes it will be done soon, but can't say when as the CP has had a death in her family very recently.
So all I can advise is that you keep checking. If I get more info, I'll pass it along ASAP.
-
Thank you, Bert. I appreciate it!
-
You're very welcome! I'm glad to be able to be of assistance. And I appreciate the help you've given me a lot.
-
Thank you, Bert. I appreciate it!
Is there a schedule for Jim's signing appearances?
Mikey
-
