I live in downtown Chicago and I don't drive and it's easier for me to get to London than to Oakbrook.

Oh, that stinks.  The closest Metra station is probably Westmont...and that's not too close.

My friend said it was perfectly okay to visit in April and tickets are only $150 still for a week there......I didn't tell them my nefarious plans though.

Umm.....question though.  Will Jim be scared of me?  I like my reputation to proceed me but he's locked into this commitment right? ;D

Ohhhh!  Right right!  Ahem.....err....gee darn, can't make it.  Jim is perfectly safe from my strangeness.  Umm yeah.  No more plans for Chicago.  Nope.  No way.  Never gonna get there.

(Great, now he's going to show up with twelve body guards and his teddy bear.)

Sorry I ruined it guys!  ;D

Does anyone know of a book store that might be selling the signed copies online so those of us who doing live in the States can pre-order / buy a copy ??

Dog-Eared Books will be doing another virtual signing.  Details will be announced later.

Yippie for my first ever post.  Anywho, I'd have to take the day off of work on a Tuesday to make the Chicago signing.  Stupid work.  I'll have to settle for an unsigned copy.   :'(

Welcome, Solo! Glad to see you braved the water!

You know Jim does virtual signings, right? You could still get a signed copy, if not in person.

They need to hurry up with transporter technology.  Just think of all the possibilities and places Jim could visit in a short span of time!  Then again, would Jim staunchly reject such technology?  Hmm.....

Alas, I was getting used to him coming to St. Louis. I don't know if I could make the drive up to Chicago or out to KC, but I might consider it...it would be fun to see if he remembered me from previous signings (hey, he did last year! It was great! We totally had a connection! Er...yeah.)

Guess I'll just have to wait until I have the complete Codex collection and hope he comes back to the Lou.

Thanks for the welcome!  I did see the virtual signing and might just do that.  Someday I'd like to meet Jim.  Who knows!  If I get laid off, I won't have a problem getting to Chicago.  lol

There's no California ones?!  Usually there's an excess!  Or is that different from the "official" signing tour?

That's why.  Jim wants to give other cities their chance!
